About Abraham Benrubi
Abraham Benrubi may not be a household name, but his face is certainly recognizable to anyone who has watched television in the past few decades. Born in Indianapolis in 1969, Benrubi got his start in acting at a young age, appearing in local theater productions before making his way to Hollywood.
Benrubi's big break came in 1990, when he landed a recurring role on the hit television series "Parker Lewis Can't Lose." From there, he went on to appear in a number of popular shows, including "ER," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and "Men in Trees."
But it was his role as Jerry Markovic on "ER" that really put Benrubi on the map. He played the lovable but bumbling desk clerk for six seasons, earning critical acclaim and a loyal fan base along the way.
Since "ER," Benrubi has continued to work steadily in television and film, appearing in everything from "The X-Files" to "Twister" to "The Walking Dead." He's also lent his voice to a number of animated projects, including "The Wild Thornberrys" and "Robot Chicken."
Off-screen, Benrubi is known for his love of music and his support of various charitable causes. He's been involved with the organization Save the Children for many years, and has also worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Despite his success, Benrubi remains down-to-earth and approachable, always willing to chat with fans and share stories from his long and varied career. With his talent, charm, and good looks, it's no wonder he's become such a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
