Amy Jackson (born 31 January 1992) is a Manx actress and model, best known for her work in Indian films. In addition to predominantly working in Tamil movies, she has also appeared in Telugu and Hindi films. She has won an Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award, a SIIMA Award and a London Asian Film Festival award. She was included in The Times of India's Most Desirable Woman of 2012 and The Times of India's Most Promising Female Newcomers of 2012.
Jackson began her modelling career at the age of 16, and went on to win the Miss Teen World competition in 2009. Subsequently, director A. L. Vijay cast her as the leading actress of the Tamil period drama Madrasapattinam (2010), despite having had no previous acting experience. Jackson has since acted in Indian films of other languages, and some of her notable roles include Hindi films Ekk Deewana Tha (2012) and Singh Is Bliing (2015), Kannada film The Villain (2018) and Tamil film 2.0 (2018). Jackson is also known for playing the role of Imra Ardeen / Saturn Girl on the third season of The CW's superhero series Supergirl.
Jackson is a regular attendee at BAFTA, Cannes Film Festival, British Fashion Awards, International Fashion Weeks, and has been featured in fashion magazines, including Vogue, Marie Clare, Cosmopolitan and Hello!. She is also an ambassador of several charities, including PETA, Women's United Nations for The Sneha Sargar Orphanage and Being Human Foundation.
