About Anki Lidén

Anki Lidén was a Swedish actress who made a name for herself in the 1960s and 1970s. Born on April 5, 1947, in Stockholm, Lidén began her acting career at a young age, appearing in several Swedish films and television shows.

Lidén's breakthrough role came in 1967 when she starred in the film "I Am Curious (Yellow)." The controversial film, which explored themes of sexuality and politics, was a huge success and made Lidén a household name in Sweden.

Throughout the 1970s, Lidén continued to work in film and television, appearing in several popular Swedish productions. She also gained international recognition for her role in the 1973 film "The New Land," which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Despite her success, Lidén struggled with personal demons, including drug addiction and mental health issues. She took a break from acting in the late 1970s to focus on her recovery.

Lidén made a comeback in the 1980s, appearing in several Swedish films and television shows. She also worked as a theater actress, performing in productions throughout Sweden.

Tragically, Lidén's life was cut short when she died of a drug overdose in 1992 at the age of 45. Her legacy as an actress and cultural icon in Sweden lives on.
