About Annabella Incontrera
Annabella Incontrera: The Italian Bombshell Who Took Hollywood by Storm
Annabella Incontrera was born on June 11, 1943, in Messina, Sicily. From a young age, she knew she wanted to be an actress and pursued her dream with unwavering determination. In 1963, she made her film debut in the Italian comedy "Il Successo," and soon became a sought-after actress in her home country.
In 1965, Incontrera caught the attention of Hollywood producers and was cast in the film "The Dirty Game," alongside Hollywood legends Henry Fonda and Robert Ryan. Her performance was praised by critics, and she quickly became known as the "Italian Bombshell" in Hollywood.
Over the next few years, Incontrera appeared in several films, including "The Big Gundown" (1966) and "The Hills Run Red" (1966). She also starred in the cult classic "The Green Slime" (1968), which has since become a fan favorite.
Despite her success in Hollywood, Incontrera never forgot her roots and continued to work in Italian cinema throughout her career. She appeared in films such as "The Libertine" (1968) and "The Devil's Wedding Night" (1973).
Incontrera's career slowed down in the 1980s, but she continued to act in films and television shows until her retirement in the early 2000s. She remains a beloved figure in Italian cinema and a trailblazer for Italian actresses in Hollywood.
In addition to her acting career, Incontrera was also known for her beauty and was a popular pin-up model in the 1960s. She was featured in magazines such as Playboy and was named one of the "100 Sexiest Women in the World" by FHM in 2000.
Incontrera passed away on April 23, 2018, at the age of 74. She will be remembered as a talented actress and a true icon of Italian cinema.
