About Ariana DeBose
Ariana DeBose: The Broadway Star Taking Hollywood by Storm
Ariana DeBose is a force to be reckoned with. Born in North Carolina in 1991, she began dancing at the age of three and hasn't stopped since. After training at the North Carolina School of the Arts, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in musical theater. And what a career it's been.
DeBose made her Broadway debut in 2012 as a member of the ensemble in "Bring It On: The Musical." She then went on to star in "Motown: The Musical," "Pippin," and "Hamilton," where she originated the roles of the Bullet and Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds. Her performance in "Hamilton" earned her a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
But DeBose's talents don't stop at singing and dancing. She's also made a name for herself on the big and small screens. She appeared in the TV series "Blue Bloods" and "The Breaks," as well as the films "Almost Family" and "West Side Story," directed by Steven Spielberg and set to be released in 2021.
DeBose is also an advocate for social justice and uses her platform to speak out on issues such as racial inequality and LGBTQ+ rights. She's been vocal about her own experiences as a queer woman of color and has used her art to inspire and empower others.
As she continues to take the entertainment world by storm, it's clear that Ariana DeBose is a talent to watch. With her infectious energy, powerhouse vocals, and fierce determination, she's sure to leave her mark on Broadway and beyond.
