About Bart Starr

Bart Starr was a football legend, known for his exceptional skills as a player, coach, and executive. Born on January 9, 1934, in Montgomery, Alabama, Starr grew up playing football and went on to become one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Starr played for the Green Bay Packers from 1956 to 1971, leading the team to five NFL championships and two Super Bowl victories. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the first two Super Bowls and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977.

After retiring as a player, Starr went on to coach the Packers for nine seasons, leading the team to a playoff appearance in 1972. He later served as an executive for the team, helping to build the Packers into a championship contender once again.

Off the field, Starr was known for his humility and kindness. He was a devout Christian and was involved in numerous charitable organizations throughout his life.

Starr passed away on May 26, 2019, at the age of 85. His legacy as one of the greatest football players of all time will continue to inspire generations of fans and players alike.
