About Boris Kodjoe

Boris Kodjoe is a man of many talents. Born in Vienna, Austria on March 8, 1973, Kodjoe grew up in Germany before moving to the United States to pursue a career in acting. He first gained recognition for his role as Damon Carter on the Showtime series Soul Food, which ran from 2000 to 2004.

Since then, Kodjoe has appeared in a number of films and television shows, including Love & Basketball, Resident Evil: Afterlife, and Station 19. He has also hosted several reality shows, including BET's The Boris and Nicole Show with his wife, actress Nicole Ari Parker.

But Kodjoe's talents extend beyond acting. He is also a model, having worked for brands such as Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. In addition, he is a philanthropist, co-founding the Sophie's Voice Foundation with his wife to raise awareness about spina bifida, a condition their daughter was born with.

Kodjoe's success in Hollywood is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He has spoken openly about the challenges he faced as a black actor in the industry, but has also emphasized the importance of representation and diversity in media.

As he continues to make his mark in the entertainment world, Kodjoe remains committed to using his platform for good. "I want to be remembered as someone who made a difference," he told Ebony magazine in 2017. "Someone who used his voice and his platform to make the world a better place."
