About Carlo Strenger
Carlo Strenger is a Swiss-born Israeli psychoanalyst, professor of psychology and philosophy, and a prolific writer. Born on July 16, 1958, Strenger has made significant contributions to the field of psychology and philosophy, particularly in the areas of existential psychology and psychoanalysis.
Strenger's interest in psychology and philosophy began at an early age, and he went on to study at the University of Zurich, where he earned his PhD in psychology. He later moved to Israel, where he currently teaches at Tel Aviv University.
Strenger is the author of several books, including "The Fear of Insignificance: Searching for Meaning in the Twenty-First Century," which explores the existential anxiety that many people experience in today's fast-paced, technology-driven world. He has also written extensively on the subject of psychoanalysis, including a book on the work of Sigmund Freud.
In addition to his academic work, Strenger is a frequent commentator on current events and social issues. He has written for publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, and Haaretz, and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs.
Strenger's work has been widely recognized and praised. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the Israel Prize in Psychology in 2014. He is also a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the British Psychological Society.
Despite his many accomplishments, Strenger remains humble and committed to his work. He continues to teach and write, and is always seeking new ways to understand the human experience.
