About Caroline Aaron
Caroline Aaron is a versatile actress who has made a name for herself in Hollywood with her sharp wit and impeccable timing. Born on August 7, 1952, in Richmond, Virginia, Aaron grew up in a Jewish family and attended the American University in Washington, D.C. before moving to New York City to pursue her acting career.
Aaron's breakthrough role came in 1987 when she starred in the hit comedy "Broadcast News" alongside Holly Hunter and William Hurt. Her performance as the neurotic news producer Jane Craig earned her critical acclaim and a nomination for a Best Supporting Actress award at the Academy Awards.
Since then, Aaron has appeared in over 100 films and television shows, including "Primary Colors," "Deconstructing Harry," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Transparent." She has also worked extensively in theater, both on and off-Broadway, and has been nominated for several Tony Awards.
Despite her success, Aaron has remained down-to-earth and approachable, often taking on supporting roles that allow her to showcase her comedic talents. She has also been an outspoken advocate for women's rights and has worked with organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the National Organization for Women.
In addition to her acting career, Aaron is also a writer and producer. She co-wrote and starred in the 2002 film "Human Nature" and has produced several documentaries, including "The Celluloid Closet" and "This Film Is Not Yet Rated."
With her quick wit and infectious energy, Caroline Aaron has become a beloved figure in Hollywood and beyond. Her talent and dedication to her craft have made her one of the most respected actresses of her generation, and she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
