About Chris McCullough
Chris McCullough: The Rise of a Basketball Phenom
Chris McCullough was born on February 5, 1995, in the Bronx, New York. From a young age, he showed a natural talent for basketball, honing his skills on the courts of New York City. McCullough's talent was soon recognized by scouts, and he was recruited to play for the prestigious Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.
At Brewster, McCullough continued to impress, leading his team to a 33-1 record and a national championship in his senior year. His performance earned him a spot on the McDonald's All-American team, and he was ranked as the 16th best high school player in the country by ESPN.
McCullough went on to play for Syracuse University, where he continued to shine. In his freshman year, he averaged 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, and was named to the ACC All-Freshman team. However, his college career was cut short when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in January 2015.
Despite the setback, McCullough declared for the NBA draft in 2015 and was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 29th overall pick. He played for the Nets for two seasons before being traded to the Washington Wizards in 2017.
McCullough's NBA career has been marked by ups and downs, but he has continued to work hard and improve his game. In 2019, he signed with the Shanxi Loongs of the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged 19.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
Off the court, McCullough is known for his philanthropic work. He has worked with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of America and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to give back to his community.
At just 26 years old, Chris McCullough has already achieved a great deal in his basketball career. With his talent and dedication, there's no doubt that he will continue to make waves in the world of basketball.
