About Clyde Kusatsu
Clyde Kusatsu is a veteran American actor and trade unionist, born on September 13, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has appeared in over 200 films, television shows, and stage productions throughout his career, earning critical acclaim for his performances.
Kusatsu's acting career began in the late 1960s, with his first major role in the Broadway production of The World of Suzie Wong. He later appeared in several popular television shows, including M*A*S*H, Magnum, P.I., and The Twilight Zone. He also had recurring roles in the hit series All-American Girl and The Young and the Restless.
In addition to his acting work, Kusatsu has been a prominent trade unionist for over 30 years. He has served as the National Vice President of the Screen Actors Guild and is a member of the Executive Board of the Actors' Equity Association. He has also been a strong advocate for Asian American representation in the entertainment industry.
Kusatsu's dedication to his craft and his activism have earned him numerous awards and honors, including the Screen Actors Guild's Ralph Morgan Award for his service to the union and the Asian Pacific American Media Coalition's Vision Award for his contributions to diversity in media.
Despite his success, Kusatsu remains humble and committed to his craft. "I'm just a working actor," he once said in an interview. "I love what I do, and I'm grateful for every opportunity I get."
