David Ginola was born on January 25, 1967, in Gassin, France. He began his football career at the age of 14, playing for the local club, Toulon. His talent soon caught the attention of bigger clubs, and he signed with Racing Paris in 1985.
Ginola's career took off in the early 1990s when he joined Paris Saint-Germain. He quickly became a fan favorite with his dazzling dribbling skills and flair on the pitch. In 1994, he was named French Player of the Year and helped PSG win the French Cup.
Ginola's success in France led to a move to England, where he signed with Newcastle United in 1995. He was an instant hit with the fans, who dubbed him "The Magic Man" for his mesmerizing performances on the pitch. Ginola helped Newcastle finish second in the Premier League in his first season and was named PFA Players' Player of the Year.
Ginola's career continued to flourish, and he went on to play for Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Everton. He also earned 17 caps for the French national team and was part of the squad that won the 1998 World Cup.
Off the pitch, Ginola was known for his good looks and stylish fashion sense. He became a model and appeared in numerous advertisements, including a famous one for L'Oreal hair products.
Ginola retired from football in 2002 and has since worked as a television pundit and commentator. He also made headlines in 2015 when he announced his candidacy for FIFA president, although he ultimately withdrew from the race.
