David Weisman is a true Renaissance man. Born on March 11, 1942, in Binghamton, New York, Weisman has made a name for himself as a director, producer, author, and graphic designer. He is best known for his work on the cult classic film "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and his collaborations with the legendary artist Andy Warhol.

Weisman's career began in the 1960s when he worked as a graphic designer for the underground newspaper "The East Village Other." He quickly made a name for himself in the New York art scene and became friends with Warhol, who would later become a frequent collaborator.

In 1974, Weisman produced Warhol's film "L'Amour," which was a critical and commercial success. He went on to produce several more of Warhol's films, including "Bad" and "The Man Who Fell to Earth."

Weisman's most significant contribution to cinema came in 1985 when he produced and co-wrote the screenplay for "Kiss of the Spider Woman." The film, which starred William Hurt and Raul Julia, won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actor for Hurt.

In addition to his work in film, Weisman has also written several books, including "Song of the Underground" and "The Cockettes." He has also worked as a graphic designer for numerous clients, including the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead.
