About Ennis Esmer
Ennis Esmer: The Canadian Comedian Who's Taking Hollywood by Storm
Ennis Esmer was born on December 29, 1978, in Ankara, Turkey, but he grew up in Canada. He started his career as a stand-up comedian in Toronto, where he quickly gained a reputation for his sharp wit and irreverent humor.
Esmer's big break came in 2006 when he landed a recurring role on the hit Canadian TV series "Corner Gas." He played the character of Dog River police officer, Sergeant Davis Quinton, and his performance was so popular that he became a regular cast member for the show's final two seasons.
Since then, Esmer has appeared in a variety of TV shows and movies, including "The Listener," "Covert Affairs," "Private Eyes," and "Blindspot." He's also lent his voice to several animated series, including "Total Drama Island" and "Bakugan Battle Brawlers."
Esmer's talent and versatility have made him a sought-after actor in Hollywood, and he's worked with some of the biggest names in the business. He appeared in the 2011 comedy "Dirty Girl" alongside Milla Jovovich and William H. Macy, and he played a supporting role in the 2013 thriller "The Call" with Halle Berry.
In addition to his acting work, Esmer is also a writer and producer. He co-created and starred in the Canadian comedy series "Young Drunk Punk," which was loosely based on his own experiences growing up in the punk rock scene in the 1980s.
Esmer's success in the entertainment industry has earned him a loyal fan base, and he's been recognized for his work with several awards and nominations. In 2010, he won a Gemini Award for his performance on "The Listener," and he's been nominated for several Canadian Screen Awards for his work on "Private Eyes."
Despite his success, Esmer remains humble and grounded, and he's known for his down-to-earth personality and his dedication to his craft. He continues to work hard and push himself creatively, and his fans can't wait to see what he'll do next.
