Hill Harper: The Renaissance Man
Hill Harper is a man of many talents. He's an accomplished actor, author, and philanthropist. Born on May 17, 1966, in Iowa City, Iowa, Harper grew up in a family of doctors and lawyers. He attended Brown University, where he earned a degree in government and later went on to earn a law degree from Harvard University.
Harper's acting career began in the mid-1990s with appearances in shows like "Law & Order" and "NYPD Blue." He gained widespread recognition for his role as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes on the hit CBS series "CSI: NY," which ran from 2004 to 2013. He has also appeared in numerous films, including "He Got Game," "The Skulls," and "Concussion."
In addition to his acting career, Harper is also a successful author. He has written several books, including "Letters to a Young Brother," which was a New York Times bestseller. The book is a collection of letters that Harper wrote to young men of color, offering advice and encouragement on how to navigate the challenges of life.
Harper is also a committed philanthropist. He founded the Manifest Your Destiny Foundation, which provides mentorship and educational opportunities to underserved youth.
