Jacklyn Zeman was born on March 6, 1953, in Englewood, New Jersey. She grew up in Bergenfield, New Jersey, and attended the Tenafly High School. Zeman's passion for acting began at a young age, and she pursued her dream by attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

Zeman's big break came in 1977 when she landed the role of Bobbie Spencer on the hit soap opera General Hospital.
