Jacklyn Zeman was born on March 6, 1953, in Englewood, New Jersey. She grew up in Bergenfield, New Jersey, and attended the Tenafly High School. Zeman's passion for acting began at a young age, and she pursued her dream by attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Zeman's big break came in 1977 when she landed the role of Bobbie Spencer on the hit soap opera General Hospital. Her portrayal of the feisty and independent nurse won the hearts of viewers, and she quickly became a fan favorite. Zeman played the role for over 40 years, making her one of the longest-running cast members in soap opera history.
In addition to her work on General Hospital, Zeman has appeared in numerous other television shows and films. She had a recurring role on the hit series The Bay, and she has made guest appearances on shows such as One Life to Live, The Nanny, and Melrose Place. Zeman has also appeared in films such as The Concrete Jungle and The Return of the Beverly Hillbillies.
