Collins attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he was a standout player and earned a scholarship to Wake Forest University.
At Wake Forest, Collins quickly established himself as one of the best players in the country. In his sophomore year, he averaged 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, earning All-ACC First Team honors and leading the Demon Deacons to the NCAA Tournament. After the season, Collins declared for the NBA draft and was selected 19th overall by the Atlanta Hawks.

He averaged 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, and his highlight-reel dunks quickly made him a fan favorite in Atlanta. In his second season, Collins took a big step forward, averaging 19.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game and earning a spot on the All-Star Rising Stars team.
Off the court, Collins is known for his laid-back personality and love of music. He often listens to hip-hop and R&B before games to get in the zone. Collins is also an avid gamer and has been known to stream his gameplay on Twitch.
As he enters his fourth season in the NBA, Collins is poised to take his game to the next level. With his combination of size, athleticism, and skill, he has the potential to become one of the league's top players. And with his easygoing personality and love of the game, he's sure to remain a fan favorite for years to come.
