About Jordan Kahu

Jordan Kahu: The Kiwi Rugby League Star Who Overcame Adversity

Jordan Kahu was born on January 28, 1991, in Brisbane, Australia, to a New Zealand father and an Australian mother. He grew up playing rugby league and quickly showed promise as a talented player. However, his journey to becoming a professional athlete was not without its challenges.

Kahu's father passed away when he was just six years old, leaving his mother to raise him and his two siblings on her own. Despite this adversity, Kahu remained focused on his passion for rugby league and worked hard to pursue his dream of playing professionally.

In 2010, Kahu was signed by the Brisbane Broncos, one of the most successful teams in the National Rugby League (NRL). He made his NRL debut in 2013 and quickly established himself as a key player for the Broncos. Kahu's versatility as a player, able to play in multiple positions, made him a valuable asset to the team.

Kahu's success on the field was not limited to the NRL. He also represented New Zealand in international rugby league, playing in the 2014 Four Nations tournament and the 2015 Anzac Test. Kahu's performances for the Kiwis earned him a reputation as one of the best young players in the game.

However, Kahu's career was not without its setbacks. In 2016, he suffered a serious injury that kept him out of action for several months. Despite this setback, Kahu remained determined to return to the field and continue his career.

In 2018, Kahu made the decision to leave the Broncos and sign with the North Queensland Cowboys. This move proved to be a wise one, as Kahu quickly established himself as a key player for the Cowboys. His performances for the team earned him a recall to the New Zealand national team in 2019.

Off the field, Kahu is known for his charitable work. He has been involved in a number of initiatives aimed at helping young people in his community, including the Broncos' Beyond the Broncos program.

Jordan Kahu's journey to becoming a professional rugby league player has been marked by adversity and triumph. Through hard work and determination, he has overcome the challenges he has faced and established himself as one of the best players in the game.
