Julie Stevens was a British actress and singer, born on December 20, 1936. She was best known for her roles in popular British television shows of the 1960s, including "The Avengers" and "The Saint."

Stevens began her career as a singer, performing in clubs and on television shows. She was discovered by producer Leonard Sachs, who cast her in the musical revue "New Faces" in 1956. This led to a string of stage roles, including the lead in the West End production of "The Boy Friend" in 1958.

In the early 1960s, Stevens transitioned to television, appearing in popular shows such as "The Avengers," "The Saint," and "The Baron." She also had a recurring role in the soap opera "Compact."

Stevens continued to work in television throughout the 1970s and 1980s, appearing in shows such as "Z Cars," "The Bill," and "Doctors." She also had a successful career as a voiceover artist, providing the voice for characters in animated shows such as "The Wombles" and "The Magic Roundabout."

In addition to her acting career, Stevens was also a talented singer. She released several albums throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "Julie Stevens Sings" and "Julie Stevens Sings the Hits of Burt Bacharach."

Stevens passed away on April 20, 2019, at the age of 82. She is remembered as a talented actress and singer who made a significant contribution to British entertainment.
