Keith Yandell was born on July 16, 1938, in the United States. He was a prominent philosopher who spent his career exploring the intersection of religion and reason. Yandell was known for his contributions to the philosophy of religion, epistemology, and metaphysics.

Yandell received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He began his academic career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before moving on to the University of Florida, where he spent the majority of his career. Yandell also held visiting positions at a number of universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and the University of Notre Dame.

Throughout his career, Yandell published numerous articles and books on topics ranging from the nature of God to the relationship between faith and reason. His most notable works include "Philosophy of Religion: A Contemporary Introduction," "The Epistemology of Religious Experience," and "The Meaning of Religion."

Yandell was a respected member of the philosophical community and was recognized for his contributions with numerous awards and honors. He was a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and served as president of the Society of Christian Philosophers.

Yandell passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 82. His contributions to the field of philosophy continue to be studied and debated by scholars around the world.
