Kendall Williams was born on July 3, 1991, in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He grew up playing basketball and quickly became a standout player in high school. Williams went on to play college basketball at the University of New Mexico, where he made a name for himself as one of the best players in the country.

During his time at New Mexico, Williams was a two-time Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and led the Lobos to two conference championships. He also set several school records, including the record for most career three-pointers made.
