About Krishnaveni

Krishnaveni, also known as Anjali Devi, was a legendary Indian actress born on December 26, 1924, in Andhra Pradesh. She began her acting career in 1947 with the Telugu film "Raja Harishchandra" and went on to become one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film industry.

Krishnaveni was known for her versatility and ability to portray a wide range of characters. She acted in over 500 films in various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Some of her notable films include "Lava Kusa," "Anarkali," "Chenchu Lakshmi," and "Sati Anasuya."

Apart from acting, Krishnaveni was also a trained classical dancer and singer. She was a recipient of several awards, including the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India, and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contribution to Telugu cinema.

Krishnaveni was married to P. Adinarayana Rao, a renowned music composer, and the couple worked together on several films. She continued to act in films until her death in 2014 at the age of 87.

Krishnaveni's contribution to Indian cinema is immense, and she will always be remembered as one of the greatest actresses of all time.
