About Kyle Collinsworth
Kyle Collinsworth: The Underrated Basketball Star
Kyle Collinsworth was born on October 3, 1991, in Provo, Utah. He grew up in a basketball-loving family, with his father, Chris Collinsworth, being a former professional basketball player. Kyle followed in his father's footsteps and became a standout player in high school, leading his team to a state championship in 2009.
After high school, Collinsworth attended Brigham Young University (BYU), where he continued to excel on the court. He became the first player in NCAA history to record five triple-doubles in a single season, earning him the nickname "Mr. Triple-Double." Collinsworth was also named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2016.
Despite his impressive college career, Collinsworth went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks but was waived before the start of the season. Collinsworth then played for the Mavericks' G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, where he averaged 11.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
In 2018, Collinsworth signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors, splitting his time between the Raptors and their G League team, the Raptors 905. He played in 20 games for the Raptors, averaging 2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
Collinsworth's NBA career may not be as glamorous as some of his peers, but he has proven to be a valuable player on the court. His versatility and ability to contribute in multiple areas make him a valuable asset to any team.
Off the court, Collinsworth is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has been vocal about his faith. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children and is an avid golfer.
Kyle Collinsworth may not be a household name, but his talent and work ethic have earned him a place in the NBA. He continues to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with on the court and a role model off the court.
