About Lily Collins
Lily Collins: The Actress Who Found Her Voice
Lily Collins has always been in the spotlight. As the daughter of British musician Phil Collins, she grew up surrounded by music and fame. But it wasn't until she discovered her passion for acting that she truly found her voice.
Born in Surrey, England in 1989, Collins moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of six. She attended the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School and went on to study broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California. But it was her love for storytelling that led her to pursue a career in acting.
Collins made her film debut in 2009 in the Academy Award-nominated film The Blind Side, starring alongside Sandra Bullock. She quickly gained recognition for her talent and went on to star in a number of successful films, including Mirror Mirror, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and Love, Rosie.
But it was her role as the iconic character of Fantine in the BBC's adaptation of Les Misérables that truly showcased Collins' range as an actress. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination.
In addition to her acting career, Collins is also a writer and a fashion icon. She has written for publications such as Teen Vogue and Glamour, and has been featured in numerous fashion campaigns for brands such as Lancôme and Chanel.
But it is her advocacy work that truly sets Collins apart. She has been open about her struggles with an eating disorder and has used her platform to raise awareness about mental health and body positivity. She has also been a vocal supporter of various charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
Collins' talent, beauty, and philanthropy have made her a beloved figure in Hollywood and beyond. With a number of exciting projects on the horizon, including the highly anticipated Netflix series Emily in Paris, it's clear that Collins is just getting started.
