About Linda Fiorentino

Linda Fiorentino was a force to be reckoned with in the 1990s. Born in Philadelphia in 1958, she got her start in acting in the early 1980s, appearing in films like "Vision Quest" and "Gotcha!" But it was her turn as the seductive, scheming femme fatale in 1994's "The Last Seduction" that really put her on the map.

Fiorentino's performance as Bridget Gregory, a woman who manipulates and outwits everyone around her, was a revelation. She was sexy, smart, and utterly ruthless, and audiences couldn't get enough of her. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Fiorentino was nominated for a BAFTA for her performance.

But despite her success, Fiorentino was never one to play by Hollywood's rules. She turned down roles in big-budget films like "Jurassic Park" and "Die Hard with a Vengeance," opting instead for smaller, more challenging projects. She starred in the noirish thriller "The Last Seduction 2" and the indie drama "Jade," but both films were critical and commercial disappointments.

Fiorentino's career began to stall in the late 1990s, and she took a break from acting to focus on her personal life. She married director John Byrum in 1992, but the couple divorced in 1993. She later married director John McTiernan in 1997, but they divorced in 1998.

In recent years, Fiorentino has largely stayed out of the public eye. She made a brief appearance in the 2009 film "Once More with Feeling," but has otherwise been absent from the screen. Despite her relatively short career, Fiorentino remains a cult favorite among film fans, and her performance in "The Last Seduction" is still considered one of the greatest femme fatale roles of all time.
