About Loretta Devine
Loretta Devine is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. Born in Houston, Texas in 1949, Devine got her start in theater before transitioning to film and television. She is perhaps best known for her roles in hit TV shows like "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Carmichael Show," as well as films like "Waiting to Exhale" and "Crash."
Devine's career began in the late 1970s, when she landed a role in the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls." She won a Tony Award for her performance, and went on to star in a number of other Broadway productions.
