About Monica Horan
Monica Horan is a talented American actress who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born on January 29, 1963, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Horan grew up in a family of six children. She attended Hofstra University in New York, where she earned a degree in theater.
Horan began her acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in several television shows and films. However, it was her role as Amy MacDougall-Barone in the hit sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond" that made her a household name. Horan played the role of Amy, the nosy neighbor and friend of Debra Barone, for nine seasons from 1997 to 2006.
Horan's performance in "Everybody Loves Raymond" earned her critical acclaim and several award nominations, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. She also appeared in other popular television shows such as "The King of Queens," "ER," and "The Bold and the Beautiful."
In addition to her acting career, Horan is also a philanthropist and has been involved in several charitable organizations. She is a board member of the Children's Institute, which provides services to children with special needs, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
Horan has been married to her "Everybody Loves Raymond" co-star, Phil Rosenthal, since 1990. The couple has two children together.
Despite her success in the entertainment industry, Horan remains humble and grounded. She once said in an interview, "I'm just grateful to be working in this business. It's a tough industry, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunities that I've had."
