About Peter Sallis
Peter Sallis, the beloved British actor and voice actor, was born on February 1, 1921. He was best known for his role as Norman Clegg in the long-running British sitcom "Last of the Summer Wine" and as the voice of Wallace in the animated series "Wallace and Gromit."
Sallis began his acting career in the 1940s, appearing in various stage productions and films. He gained recognition in the 1960s for his role in the BBC drama "The Marriage Lines" and later for his role in "Last of the Summer Wine," which he starred in for over 30 years.
In addition to his live-action work, Sallis was also a prolific voice actor. He provided the voice for Wallace in all of the "Wallace and Gromit" films, as well as for various other animated projects.
Sallis was widely respected in the entertainment industry and was awarded the OBE in 2007 for his services to drama. He continued to work well into his 80s, and his final role was in the 2010 film "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit."
Sallis passed away on June 2, 2017, at the age of 96. He will be remembered as a talented actor and voice actor who brought joy to audiences around the world.

About Death
Sallis died at the Denville Hall nursing home in Northwood, London, on 2 June 2017 at the age of 96.He was buried next to fellow Last of the Summer Wine actor Bill Owen in the churchyard of St John's Parish Church, Upperthong, near the town of Holmfirth in Yorkshire, the home of Last of the Summer Wine.
