About Ronnie Price
Ronnie Price: The Ultimate Underdog
Ronnie Price was born on June 21, 1983, in Friendswood, Texas. He grew up playing basketball with his brothers and dreamed of one day playing in the NBA. Despite being undersized and overlooked by scouts, Price never gave up on his dream.
After a standout career at Utah Valley University, Price went undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft. He refused to give up and continued to work hard, eventually earning a spot on the Sacramento Kings' roster. Price's relentless work ethic and tenacity quickly made him a fan favorite.
Over the course of his 11-year NBA career, Price played for several teams, including the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic, and Oklahoma City Thunder. He was known for his defensive prowess and ability to make big plays when it mattered most.
Off the court, Price was a devoted family man and active in his community. He founded the Ronnie Price Foundation, which provides scholarships and mentorship to underprivileged youth.
Price retired from the NBA in 2017 but continued to stay involved in basketball as a coach and mentor. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns.
Despite being an underdog throughout his career, Price never let that stop him from achieving his dreams. He remains an inspiration to young basketball players everywhere.
