About Ryan Hurst
Ryan Hurst: The Outsider
Ryan Hurst was born on June 19, 1976, in Santa Monica, California. He grew up in a family of actors, with his father being an actor and his mother being a production coordinator. Hurst's passion for acting was ignited at a young age, and he began pursuing it seriously in his teens.
Hurst's breakout role came in 2002 when he played the lovable, yet troubled, Opie Winston in the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy. His performance earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Hurst's portrayal of Opie was so powerful that fans were devastated when his character was killed off in season five.
But Hurst didn't let that stop him. He continued to take on challenging roles, including playing Gerry Bertier in the 2000 film Remember the Titans and portraying Chick Hogan in the hit series Bates Motel. He also lent his voice to the character of Beta in the popular AMC series The Walking Dead.
Hurst's talent and dedication to his craft have not gone unnoticed. He has been nominated for several awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role in Sons of Anarchy. He has also been recognized for his work in the theater, earning a Drama Desk Award nomination for his performance in the off-Broadway play The Last Night of Ballyhoo.
Off-screen, Hurst is a passionate advocate for various causes, including animal rights and mental health awareness. He has also been open about his struggles with anxiety and depression, using his platform to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
Ryan Hurst is a true talent and a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. With his dedication to his craft and his commitment to making a difference in the world, there's no doubt that he will continue to make waves for years to come.
