About Ryan Stiles
Ryan Stiles: The Improv Master
Ryan Stiles is a comedic genius who has been making audiences laugh for over three decades. Born on April 22, 1959, in Seattle, Washington, Stiles grew up in a family of performers. His father was a fishing boat captain who also played the trumpet, and his mother was a homemaker who loved to sing. Stiles inherited their love of music and performance, and he began honing his skills as a comedian and actor at a young age.
Stiles got his start in comedy in the early 1980s, performing at local clubs and theaters in Vancouver, Canada. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented improviser, and he was soon invited to join the cast of the hit TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Stiles became a fan favorite on the show, known for his quick wit, physical comedy, and ability to create hilarious characters on the spot.
In addition to his work on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", Stiles has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies over the years. He had a recurring role on the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men," and he has also appeared on "The Drew Carey Show," "The Office," and "Hot in Cleveland," among others. Stiles has also lent his voice to several animated shows, including "The Simpsons," "Bob's Burgers," and "Phineas and Ferb."
Stiles is a master of improvisation, and he has performed with some of the biggest names in comedy over the years. He has toured with the improv group "The Second City," and he has also performed with "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" co-stars Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood in their own improv show, "An Evening with Colin and Brad." Stiles is also a regular performer at the Bellingham Theatre Guild in his hometown of Bellingham, Washington.
Despite his success as a comedian and actor, Stiles remains humble and grounded. He is known for his kindness and generosity, and he is beloved by fans and colleagues alike. Stiles has said that his greatest joy comes from making people laugh, and he continues to do so with every performance.
