About Sam Huff
Sam Huff, the legendary American football player, was born on October 4, 1934, in Edna Gas, West Virginia. He was a standout linebacker for the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins during his illustrious career.
Huff was known for his hard-hitting style and his ability to read the opposing team's offense. He was a key member of the Giants' defense during their championship run in 1956. In 1964, he was traded to the Redskins, where he continued to dominate on the field.
Off the field, Huff was known for his larger-than-life personality. He was a regular on the talk show circuit and even had his own radio show. He was also a successful businessman, owning several car dealerships in the Washington, D.C. area.
Huff's impact on the game of football was immense. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982 and was named to the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team in 2019.
Sadly, Huff passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 87. He will be remembered as one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history and a true icon of the game.
