About Sarah Drew
Sarah Drew: The Actress Who Brings Life to Every Role
Sarah Drew was born on October 1, 1980, in Stony Brook, New York. She grew up in a family of doctors and scientists, but her passion for acting was evident from a young age. She started performing in school plays and community theater productions, and soon realized that acting was her true calling.
Drew's big break came in 2004 when she landed the role of Hannah Rogers in the WB drama series "Everwood." Her performance as the troubled teenager who struggles with drug addiction earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. She went on to star in several other TV shows, including "Mad Men," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Criminal Minds."
But it was her role as Dr. April Kepner in the hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" that made her a household name. Drew played the quirky and lovable doctor for nine seasons, and her character's journey from a nervous intern to a confident surgeon was one of the show's most compelling storylines.
Off-screen, Drew is known for her activism and advocacy work. She is a vocal supporter of women's rights and has been involved in several campaigns to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault. She is also a devoted mother and wife, and often shares glimpses of her family life on social media.
Despite her success, Drew remains humble and grounded. She credits her upbringing and her faith for keeping her grounded in the midst of Hollywood's glitz and glamour. "I'm just a small-town girl who loves to act," she once said in an interview. "I feel incredibly blessed to be doing what I love and to have the support of my family and fans."
As she continues to take on new roles and challenge herself as an actress, there's no doubt that Sarah Drew will continue to captivate audiences with her talent and charm.
