About Seth Doege
Seth Doege may not be a household name, but the former Texas Tech quarterback has left an indelible mark on the world of college football. Born on December 18, 1988, in Lubbock, Texas, Doege grew up in a football-loving family and quickly developed a passion for the game.
After a standout high school career, Doege enrolled at Texas Tech in 2008 and spent his first two seasons as a backup quarterback. But in 2011, he emerged as the team's starter and put together one of the most impressive seasons in school history. Doege threw for 4,004 yards and 28 touchdowns, leading the Red Raiders to a 7-5 record and a berth in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
Doege's success continued in 2012, as he threw for 4,205 yards and 39 touchdowns, earning All-Big 12 honors and leading Texas Tech to an 8-5 record and a victory in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Despite his impressive college career, Doege went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft and spent time with several teams as a backup quarterback before ultimately transitioning to coaching.
Today, Doege is the quarterbacks coach at Bowling Green State University, where he's helping to develop the next generation of football stars. But his impact on the game will always be felt, both at Texas Tech and beyond.
