About Susan Olsen
Susan Olsen: The Brady Bunch's Littlest Sister
Susan Olsen was born on August 14, 1961, in Santa Monica, California. She is best known for her role as Cindy Brady, the youngest daughter in the iconic 1970s sitcom The Brady Bunch. Olsen was only eight years old when she was cast in the show, which ran from 1969 to 1974.
Olsen's acting career began when she was just three years old, appearing in commercials and TV shows such as Ironside and Gunsmoke. However, it was her role as Cindy Brady that made her a household name. The show followed the lives of a blended family, the Bradys, and their adventures and mishaps. Olsen's character was known for her lisp and her catchphrase, "pork chops and applesauce."
After The Brady Bunch ended, Olsen continued to act in TV shows and movies, including The Love Boat, The Brady Bunch Hour, and The Brady Brides. She also worked as a voice actor, lending her voice to animated shows such as The Jetsons and The Batman/Superman Hour.
In addition to her acting career, Olsen is an accomplished artist and radio host. She has exhibited her artwork in galleries across the United States and has hosted a radio show called "Two Chicks Talkin' Politics" with her friend and fellow actress, Sheena Metal.
Olsen has been open about her struggles with depression and substance abuse, which she has attributed to the pressures of being a child star. She has since become an advocate for mental health awareness and has spoken publicly about her experiences.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Olsen remains a beloved figure in pop culture. Her portrayal of Cindy Brady has left a lasting impression on generations of fans, and her contributions to the arts and activism continue to inspire others.
