Vani Jairam was born on November 30, 1945, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. She was raised in a family of music lovers, and her father was a renowned classical musician. Vani started singing at a young age and soon became a household name in India.
Her career took off in the 1970s when she started singing for Bollywood films. Her soulful voice and impeccable range made her a favorite among music directors, and she went on to sing for some of the biggest names in the industry.
