About Wolfgang Van Halen

Wolfgang Van Halen was born on March 16, 1991, in Santa Monica, California. As the son of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang was born into rock royalty. He grew up surrounded by music and began playing the drums at a young age before switching to bass.

In 2006, at the age of 15, Wolfgang joined his father's band, Van Halen, as the bassist. He replaced original bassist Michael Anthony and quickly proved himself as a talented musician. Wolfgang's first album with Van Halen, "A Different Kind of Truth," was released in 2012 and received critical acclaim.

Aside from his work with Van Halen, Wolfgang has also played with other artists, including Mark Tremonti and Black Stone Cherry. In 2015, he formed his own band, Mammoth WVH, and released their debut single, "Distance," in 2020. The song was a tribute to his father, who had passed away earlier that year.

Wolfgang has been praised for his musical abilities and his dedication to carrying on his father's legacy. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he said, "I just want to make my dad proud and continue what he started."

Despite his young age, Wolfgang has already made a significant impact on the music industry. He has proven himself as a talented musician and a worthy successor to his father's legacy.
