About Zoot Money

Zoot Money is a British vocalist, keyboardist, and bandleader who has been a fixture in the music industry for over five decades. Born George Bruno Money on July 17, 1942, in Bournemouth, England, Zoot began his career as a pianist in local jazz bands before forming his own group, Zoot Money's Big Roll Band, in the early 1960s.

With his distinctive voice and energetic stage presence, Zoot quickly became a popular figure on the British music scene, earning a reputation as one of the country's most dynamic performers. Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Eric Burdon, Alexis Korner, and the late Alvin Lee.

Despite his success, Zoot has remained true to his roots, continuing to perform and record music that reflects his love of blues, jazz, and rock and roll. His most recent album, "The Book of Life," was released in 2019 and features a mix of original songs and covers of classic tracks by artists like Ray Charles and Otis Redding.

Throughout his career, Zoot has been recognized for his contributions to the music industry, receiving numerous awards and accolades, including induction into the British Blues Hall of Fame in 2015. Despite his many accomplishments, however, Zoot remains humble and dedicated to his craft, always striving to push the boundaries of his art and inspire others to do the same.
