About The Cartoon Cartoon Show
The Cartoon Cartoon Show was a groundbreaking television series that aired on Cartoon Network from 1995 to 2003. The show featured a rotating cast of animated shorts created by up-and-coming animators, and was responsible for launching the careers of many successful animators, including Genndy Tartakovsky (creator of Samurai Jack and Dexter's Laboratory) and Craig McCracken (creator of The Powerpuff Girls).
The show's format allowed for a wide range of styles and genres, from the surreal humor of Cow and Chicken to the sci-fi action of Johnny Bravo. Each episode featured three or four shorts, and viewers were encouraged to vote for their favorites online. The winning shorts would then be developed into full series, such as Courage the Cowardly Dog and Ed, Edd n Eddy.
The Cartoon Cartoon Show was a critical and commercial success, and helped establish Cartoon Network as a major player in the animation industry. The show's influence can still be seen today, with many of its creators continuing to produce popular animated series.
