About Then Came Bronson

Then Came Bronson was a short-lived but iconic television show that aired in 1969. Starring Michael Parks as Jim Bronson, a disillusioned newspaper reporter who embarks on a motorcycle journey across America after the suicide of his best friend, the show captured the countercultural spirit of the late 1960s.

With its stunning cinematography and evocative soundtrack, Then Came Bronson was a departure from the typical formulaic TV dramas of the era. The show's theme song, "Long Lonesome Highway," performed by Parks himself, became a hit single and a classic of the era.

Despite its critical acclaim and devoted fan base, Then Came Bronson was cancelled after just one season. However, its influence can still be felt in the road movies and countercultural narratives that followed in its wake.
